I was born and raised in the Midwest. I grew up and attended school in Aurora, Illinois.  My parents were both hard workers. My father loved to do landscaping work and he was very good at it. I would consider him an expert as a matter of fact. We had the prettiest yard on the block. My dad always got complimented on how beautiful our yard was. He would spend hours and hours outside doing yard work not only for himself but for the church he was a member of and for other people too. My mother was a CNA at a nursing home and also did babysitting so I always had other children to play with besides my brothers and sisters. My parents divorced by the time I was 9 years old and I lived with my father until I was  13 years old, and afterwards I went to live with my mother and stepfather.

I’ve always felt a calling of some sort in my life from a very young age. I knew that I would not be working for someone else all of my life. It was just a feeling that I had of there has to be more to life than this and I can’t see myself cooped up in a building or cubicle for the rest of my life. I have always been an entrepreneur at heart. I started selling Christmas Cards door to door as a child. I started out as a Brownie and then became a Girl Scout selling Cookies as a child, magazines and even helped my brother with his paper route so you could say that I have always been selling.

In 1995 I had my own brick and mortar business. It was a coffeehouse/restaurant. My partner and I had all the gourmet coffees and teas, ice cream, sandwiches, pizza, and live entertainment. My business lasted for 1 year and then we went out of business. It was a blast but a lot of hard work and long hours.

I have had the honor of teaching and consulting for the prestigious John Robert Powers Modeling & Acting School focusing specifically on wardrobe management, runway modeling, make-up and hair artistry, etiquette, and individual color assessments.

I have worked in direct sales for  5 years helping women to define their personal brand through cosmetics, clothing, and accessories to create a visual image that accurately reflects their personality and showcases their inner beauty.

On this blog you will find tips to help you get out of a job you hate and do something you love.

Now I want to let women know that they can do what they REALLY want to do with their lives no matter what age they might be. It is never too late. You can do anything you want with your life. Never stop believing. As long as you have a dream I feel that you should go for it.
